'The Farm' team is very pleased to welcome Tom Stourton to the production. He flew to São Paulo state, Brazil, for a five day shoot in the Mantiqueira mountains, to play the leading role of Calvin.
'The Farm' is a comedic short film about an English couple, whose Brazil getaway turns out to be the holiday from hell. Calvin is forced to protect his fragile relationship from the meddling guru of the spiritual retreat.
Tom Stourton is the perfect candidate to lead this ambitious co-production between picloc Productions, Volta Filmes and Olyvon. Tom is a comedy veteran, who nailed a blend of paranoia and hilarity with his feature All My Friends Hate Me, which premiered at Tribeca and BFI London Festivals. He also recently featured in Yorgos Lanthimos’ Poor Things, and Greta Gerwig’s Barbie.
Tom Stourton’s comedic ability, both as a writer and performer, makes him a very exciting collaborator. We can’t wait to see if he survives this Brazilian adventure.
